Picture Framer Job Vacancy (Part time)
Leith Framing Studio is seeking a new team member in our workshop on Leith Walk.
We are looking for somebody with a professional demeanor, an eye for detail and an understanding of all principles of picture framing. Must be organized with excellent follow-through and eagerness to learn. We would also expect you to be creative and a great team player.
EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will have at least a year of previous experience in all aspects of a picture framing in a professional workshop.

HOURS & SALARY:
Thursday and Fridays (8am-4.30pm) with potential for extra days including Saturdays
Starting salary: £9.30 per hour. Preferably immediate start.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of art mediums and methods of mounting including mount cutting
- Glass cutting
- Experience with the use of a dry mount press
- Frame making
- Canvas stretching/Experience framing textiles
- Must be computer literate and possess basic arithmetic skills
- Must possess stamina
- Some heavy lifting will be expected
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Taking framing orders and consult customers
- Provide framing quotes, answer phone calls
- Framing from start to finish
- Adherence to company policies and framing procedures
- Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment
